SCOTTISH JUNIOR ACADEMY
Now in it's fifth year, the Scottish Junior Academy continues to go from strength to strength and this year sees the largest team to date with 15 students hoping to gain enough training and experience to take them to the highest level. As in previous years we are delighted to have the coaching services of Niall Mackenzie and Craig Jones and this year we can also count on the talent of some of the students from previous years who are competing in various 125 Championships this year both nationally and internationally.

2008 - 2009 RACING AND EVENTS CALENDAR NOW ONLINE
The new Events Calendar is now available to view online with dates for all the events and the Scottish Minimoto Championship up to the end of February 2009
RULE CHANGES FOR THE ITALIAN MINIBIKES CHAMPIONSHIP
The Italian minibikes Championship's rules have changed for the Junior engines in 2008 and in light of this Polini have introduced a new junior race engine for their race teams. All Junior bikes can have 5 transfer air cooled cylinder, high compression head, PHBG d.15 carburetor, series 2 junior crankcase with the only restriction being the 1 petal reed. This engine will hopefully be available towards the end of February at a cost of around £500.
McIntosh Moto says that we can not understand why the Italian Championship would want to run open class junior bikes when they run restrictors to slow the old series 1 engine. This appears to be turning the Italian junior classes into cheque book racing something that is never very good for competitor numbers in the UK. We can appreciate technologies change and yes the series 1 engine has been around for approx 18 years. No need to worry though we will stick to the series 1 engine for the 2008 Scottish season.
Mcintosh Minibikes / Mcintosh Moto Ltd have now been in the Minimoto business for 15 years. This makes us the longest serving minimoto franchise in the whole of the UK.
UPDATES AND NEW SHOWROOM SECTION
We have recently updated the Minimoto and Minicross Showroom sections with the new models and liveries for the 2008 season. We have also added a new section to the Showroom - Blue Line - which shows the range of Polini Clothing and Accessories . All of these products can or will shortly be available to order through the site.
